Sheike in sheer Melbourne

The best news I have heard today would have to be learning that my favourite brand Sheike (originated from Sydney) has finally decided they should be in Australia's fashion capital city. Not only will it be available at Melbourne Central but for all my gals in my hood we can now drive 10 minutes away to our local Highpoint centre and play dress ups.

I will probably request for a Sheike Credit Card (or insist they introduce this for me as I will be their most regular customer.)

Although I am stoked the brand is now easily accessible a selfish part of me doesn't want it to come to Melbourne because I don't want to see every 16 year old going on 25 wearing my polyester dress. (just like with Sass & Bide) and also that was my excuse for trips to Sydney.

See you daily in August.

Here are some of the examples of this brand and my tan wahhh.

Monday Mixes

Just another week of winter in Melbourne and another week of throwing cold water onto my car to dissolve the icebergs mounted daily. Yes I will complain weekly about the weather until I reach Summer (2 months, unlucky ha? But in fact just 3 more weeks and then Hawaii will save me a spot on the beach, Aloha!)

Missed out on the real thing? Why not fake it with this lookalike Finders Keepers 'By The Way' dress. This is just pocket money so no need to ah and ah about it.

Stelly - Lemon Crisp Tart Dress $58.95
Get bold this winter with this orange skirt with a two layer finish. Tee it up with tights and ankle boots and you now have a skirt that is wearable for more than one month.

Stelly - Grapefruit Ice Pops Skirt $39.95

Another week, another asymmetrical skirt. I love white, embrace the design and the colour.
Lucy in the Sky - Ahead of Them All Skirt $39

If $140 plus shipping for Jeffery Campbell's doesn't do your budget then opt for these babies. Who would know the difference?!
Lucy in the Sky - Clear the air heel $69

I love the contrast of detailing of this peplum top. This will work great with a pair of jeans.

Asos - Traffic People Pleplum Shirt in Barbed Wire print $61

Raglan shoulders and a large button-keyhole detail, how much edgier can you get with this price point?!

Asos - Crop Top With Open Back and Batwing $56
Basics with the twist always my favourite. Adding studs on the shoulders is raw and adds funk to an everyday outfit.

Asos - Body with Extreme Stud Shoulder $49
How stylish is this top. It's the pointed collar that displays a  metal plate detail, finished with sheer contrast cuff sleeves with sheer back. Great for introducing colour to winter.

Shilla - Young Print and Contrast Shirt $40

Running out of white shirts to wear to work? Add a print to your wardrobe and while you're at it, try leopard. It's adventurous yet classic for any hours of the day. Wear a cami underneath for office hour and change it to just a bra for clock off.

Shilla - Believers Leopard Chiffon Shirt $39.50

Maybe I'm getting too excited for my trip. But this is just perfect for a warmer day. So breezy and lightweight especially the short dress with the sheer overlay arghhhhhh die! I'd love to wear this eating lunch by the beach with a floppy hat mmm Rachel Zoe style. (overdreamer I know)

Missguided - Jennet Monochrome Chiffon Maxi Dress $52

Belt it good

Whether you need to cling up a top or add shape to your outfit. A belt is like adding frosting to the cupcake, it makes the product.

There are so many varieties to choose from, skinny, thick, peplum, chain, leather so get experimental. This is my top 5 this week.

Asos - Stone Detail Waist Belt $18.40
Asos - Peplum Waist Belt $31.54

Sheike - Suede Peplum Belt $19

Lineapelle - Tyler Vintage Hip $93

Asos - River Island Ponyskin Western Belt $52

My boot scootin' baby is driving me crazy

I feel it is necessary to share with you my recent obsession with shoes or more specifically boots. You would think all you needed was an ankle, a heel and over the knee pair, that's until this season hit. Now it's cut outs, animal prints, fur, leather, suede, metal heel, perspex heel, peep toe, points. AHHHHHHH I want every single pair on the market. So I present to you my top picks this week on boots.

Windsor Smith - Las Vegas $159.95
Windsor Smith - Ponie $189.95
Wittner - Nisha $199.95
Wittner - Sydel $89.95
Wittner - Abloom $50
Wittner - Animal $99.95
Steve Madden - Partenon $69.95 less 20%
Tony Bianco - Tempo $219.95

Monday Mixes

As I am writing this post I am wrapped in a second doona I have been nurturing for the last month because the heater on 27 degrees isn't proliferating enough. Oh and this is only the beginning of winter, why am I not booking a ticket overseas sooner?!

Who doesn't like to keep every body roll intact?! bodysuits are great for this reason, just wear high waisted bottoms and you'll be asking muffin top, where?
If you can afford the 'We are Handsome' range then go for it, however for those budget savvy fashion conscious ones (me, me, me, me) Prettylittlething.com have delivered similar, for the price of a bento box. Keep in mind, this is still cheeky, showing some back, its so prrrrrretty.

PrettyLittleThing - Tiger Face Bodysuit $28.00 (less 30% at the moment)

I love how Finders Keepers have incorporated colour into their winter range. I love a label that doesn't steer away from vibrancy considering the current season in Australia. This skirt would be perfect for any occasion because you can dress it down with tights and a blouse or add killer heels and a tight top for a classier occasion.

'Asymmetrical' has been a common pattern in my posts. I don't think I have ever seen the same style around this season therefore each garment excites me. With this skirt, it's the trimming outlined in gold that strikes me.

Esther Boutique - Dipped In Gold Skirt $59

Flowers remind me that spring is around the corner (okay like 2 months away wahhh) so why not get in early and wear an embroidered floral top now?!
Maple Ave - Cassandra Embroidered Tunic $59

While we are on the topic of embroidery, this one is more appropriate for the refined shoppers who still like a stunning design.
Tradesy - Boutique Cassandra Embroidered Tunic $78
Why not add something sexy to your outfit this weekend? This embellishment top reminds me of the Premonition style they brought out last season.

I love a shift dress over tights with ankle boots. Although this is short sleeves, add a leather jacket or a fur jacket and it's weather with colour.
Asos - A Wear Mirror Print T-shirt $78

Made from an easy-care crepe fabric, this skirt optimises trend to a tee, wraparound design and asymmetric enclosed with a zip. Tick, tick.
Asos - Wrap Skirt in Crepe With Zip $63

This classic yet gorgeous long jumpsuit displays capped sleeves. You know how I feel about very low V-cut front ( I can just picture my mum sighing as she reads this). Do it while you can I say.

Stelly - Plum Daiquiri jumpsuit $49.95
Leatherette pants are always hard to find the perfect fit . I have found a fitted pair with a smooth, leather-look finish accented with fine top stitching down the centre of the legs. Definitely a winter must.
Living Doll - Dark Knight Pants $69.95

Monday Mixes

Just when I thought I've got my life sorted and when I say life I mean finance. I have utilised the ugliest word in the English dictionary "budget" and enforced this in my life. However, being very involved in the financial sector (Don't laugh) this month is not only tax time but more notably it's the end of season sale EVERYWHERE.  Why is God punishing me?! Sometimes I wish I didn't dream about my next Chanel purchase.

Why not wear shorts this winter? Tee them up with sheer stockings for a sexy mood or ooze in tights and killer ankle boots. I love the simplistic pattern of the shorts with the vertical zips on both sides deterring attraction to the bad parts.

The Birdcage Boutique - Finders Keepers Sunday Morning Shorts $109.95

Need something to throw on top of your leather pants or jeans? This Stunning olive green knitted jumper is loose fitting but has fitted cuffs. The style embraces batwing sleeves, so flap away!

Stelly - Choc Crunch Peanut Butter Jumper $39.95

Winter is when you can explore the basics. I love a comfortable loose fitted dress together with tights and boots to hide the winter belly. Nothing is more satisfying when the material is smooth. Soft jersey will do this to you, so grab marshmallows and sit by the fire with this dress.

When I saw this vest like cape, I immediately fell in love. I understood the direction Sarah-Jane and Heidi were portraying with this collection. It's simplistic yet a touch of rawness. The drape movement of the vest is magical and reminds me of a beach location in Santorini. With a simple dress, this vest adds a luring story.

A cropped jumper is only acceptable with high waisted bottoms. This is a relaxed feel and practical for winter.

Forever New - Lauren Cable Jumper $59.95

I love anything with volume especially if my hair had some. So when my hands met this viscose cape, I knew there was no looking back now. The fitted sleeves collaborated softly with the cape back making it a loose fit around the body. Unfortunately on the website they don't have the Cobalt Blue that I purchased because this colour doesn't do it justice.

Carla Zampatti - Pearl Ponte "Via Condotti" Cape Top $200

Monochrome has never been so clever. This print on jeans are uber cool and can funk up any basic choice.

Market HQ - No Rules Jeans $59
Yes another Floral write up. These vibrant colours brighten up a dull season. Don't be shy to own it out there with a cute blazer and ankle boots.

Asos - Oasis Oriental Floral Print Pants $79
A little asymmetric doesn't hurt anyone actually it benefits you. It adds shape to your body as the angle define sharpness hiding the Big Mac leftovers.Panelling with faux leather just adds more radiance for your day.

Asos - Wrap Mini Skirt with Zips $49

This peplum jacket gave me the same sensation as green tea frozen yoghurt. The contrast panels and crisscross back detail in neon preen is enough to convince me that neon in winter is acceptable. Three tone blazer with peplum detail and amazing pleat detail at back is like having fairy floss with popping candy dipped in chocolate.

The Fashion Bunker - Cameo Geraldine Blazer $229
