Monday Mixes

I don't think it will be ever possible to run out of outfits to showcase to you. However if you haven't already caught on you will soon wake up and realise the theme of my blog. If it's not peplums, it's floral, backless, plunge neckline to anything with a little sexiness. That's me, it's my style and everyone is different however run with what your comfortable in and everyone will understand.

As I am big on basics this winter as long as there is something funky added to the outfit. So why not get westernised and sport a tassel vest with a pair of skinny jeans and boots.

PrettyLittleThing - Laken White Tassel Waistcoat $32

Need a blouse that doesn't scream secretary? This blouse is perfect for the office and for a casual day shopping. You know how I feel about florals.
PrettyLittleThing - Carrie Black Floral Blouse $36

Got a hot date this Friday? Give him a little taste of you without giving too much away. This top is flirty yet still not showing open heart surgery. Just wear a skinny belt and skinny jeans as your ready. Note: do not wear if you carry D Cups, then you'll be asked to go the Gentlemen's Club.
Dissh - Heart Of Gold Top $89.95

For these chilly nights in Melbourne you need to rug up. But having a jacket doesn't have to deter from your outfit it can actually be a great outfit. Even belt this number and you will be bringing Europe to you.
Asos - Snow Leopard Fur Coat $62

Bodysuits should be next to nothing for you. They suck you in at the right spots and give you shape. I love that this bodysuit not only shows your body but adds shape on your shoulders with the leatherette flaps. This will accentuate your shoulder area and make your upper region look smaller. Sign me up for that!
Stelly - Caramel Chew Bodysuit $40.95

This long sleeve top leaves you with a gorgeous floral pattern on the front, with black shoulders and a panel down the back. Features a high low finish. Pair with jeans :)

Stelly - Cinnamon Pinwheel Top $39

Again I mention basics because something so simple can be effective with just one item. This being feathers!! If you are not into real orchid then luxe featherette perhaps. This completes any simple outfit. If you want to be funky and confident nobody else will have the same outfit as you then embrace this. And no you won't look like a birdy.
Olga Berg - Feather Capelet - Black Green $149
Have a cocktail or family function coming up and want a statement piece? Look no further than Sheike. This brand is my saviour for all those functions. This brand is great for us Melburnians because it's exclusive in Sydney (except online) therefore chances of somebody else rocking your outfit is slim. This structured dress holds the peplum detail on the waist accentuating leftover fried chicken on your sides.

Sheike - Paris Dress $79

There is nothing that screams style more than prints (if you wear it right). Aztec embroidery is inviting and pops so you can't hide from the limelight.

Missguided - Bernita Aztec Print Jacket $74.27
There is something about this top. It's so simplistic but the woven fabric makes it so appealing and don't get me started on the cut out on the back. The stitched darts to bodice gives a great shape.

Asos - Top with Open Back in Stripe Print $60

Monday Mix

It's funny I will put my hand up in a heartbeat when someone wants to shop because let's face it it's more enjoyable spending other people's money but why am I the one walking out with bags in my hand. That's not what support is?! Unfortunately I don't have supportive friends, I endeavour friends who share the same passion and shall I say hobby as me , shopping?  This week I have noted current trends, past trends, bargains and loog good products. Pencil the websites because they have great sales weekly. Have a cuppa infront of the heater and space your credit card out.

Adore Boutique - Cameo Circuit Breaker skirt $69

Need another cute jumpsuit to make the eyes fall out of his head or even get those girls something to talk about? This low plunge necklace jumpsuit is sassy with wedges or killer heels to show off those pins.

Sugah Boutique - Lavendar Fields Playsuit $69

Floral floral floral, uhh floral? Get inspired with these printed pants. You should have at least one pair (if not 4) in your wardrobe. Great with a baggy tee and blazer for a relaxed chic look. Or casual it down with some boots and a jumper.

PrettyLittleThing - Violet Black & White Floral Trousers $50

I have seen so many sequin numbers this season. From Sussan to Sportsgirl to Witchery. It just dignifies effortless chic. I especially love the relaxed collars of this jacket. Lumier do the exact same jacket for $154.95 so which one would you pick?

PrettyLittleThing - Demelza Gold Sequin Jacket $60

Again with the sequin style this season, is something more subtle. This military style incorporates this current trend on the sleeves, dressing up any choice of clothing.

PrettyLittleThing - Rhianna Sequin Military Jacket $90
After my fur circular fur scarf purchase I have been bamboozled with more and more. My new obsession is the leopard fur scarf and Mimco (I just went said it :s) know how to produce a soft and appealing add on accessory. This can either be wrapped around twice or left longer (I prefer for more coverage).

Wait til more of the fast fashion retailers start rolling these out and cheaper versions.

Mimco - Beatrix Leopard Fur Scarf $129

If I won the $600 mill tattslotto, $5000 would go to all of Finders Keepers' 'Field of Dreams' Collection        ( and perhaps the rest in my account, hahaha) I cannot believe I already bought 2 pieces of their collection thinking I got the best of the deal when it just got better! This Monochrome style has transformed into an abstract party.  I justified with the Runway Top however soon became infested with the array of dresses as they are more practical for winter, right! I couldn't go past this dress as it has sheer panelled accents down the front and at the rear with curved cuffs, give me now!!

The Iconic - Finders Keepers Tangled Secrets Dress $139
Cannot cant enough of Asymmetrical style. This skirt captivates detail with a little funk. I love the black outline, it now looks raw.
Esther Boutique - Rolling in the deep skirt $49

There is something about this top that lures me. I don't know if it's the elegant sheer structure, the velvet baroque print or the peplum. I actually like that you can cut the cap sleeves off and wear it sleeveless. This top can be worm  formal with a high waisted maxi skirt ( so it looks like a dress) or dress it down with leather like pants & sky high heels. YUMMY

Esther Boutique - Lumier Devore Peplum top $85

Love a great skirt that is versatile for the office and a night out. Snakeskin, if you are not convinced I will have to keep posting. Skins are universal, they give you effortless chic. I love the split in this skirt as well and always a plus being high waisted. So tuck in your blouse or wear a bodysuit and slither on.
ASOS - Lavish Alice PU Pencil Skirt In Snake Print $50

Run in Style

Are you tired of wearing those cheap cotton singlets that cling to your body like you really want people to see every roll of your body when you sweat.

I stumbled across this brand when I was looking for active wear that wasn't the $10 weekly KMART Special. As much as I love my Skins and any compression friend in that matter, I am on a hunt for feminie looking clothes to empower me when I am lifting my 5kg dumbbells. Tully Lou has answered my prayers, giving me great structure and highlight colours. It's fashion forward and won't hurt the bank (too much) but if you are looking for something that lasts and gives you comfort then you can afford to spend that extra dollar.

Who doesn't want to look good when they workout? And no I don't mean when you are sporting a cake face and straightened hair while you glide on the cross - trainer. So why not turn heads for the real reason - good fashion !

Tully Lou is only found online at the moment however I can see this brand moving to department stores soon.

Parna Pant $75

When the Glove fits

I have a feeling this season will be quite chilly as we are not even in winter yet and it's already electric blanket time. Gloves have become more than just a practicality for warmth. They are a fashion accessory to complete your outfit. So why not invest in a great pair that you can wear for years.

I have collected a few that would give you warm yet elegance without hurting the bank. You don't need to limit yourself to black, be adventurous and try leopard, fur, snakeskin you dare devil you.

Monday Mixes

Welcome to Monday. I'm off to Hawaii in a few months, so bare with me while I search through appropriate holiday outfits and share with you what I want to pack. In saying that, I am on strict instructions to save save save so I can spurge over there ( Watch out Neiman Marcus) so enjoy the budget picks I find.

I wanted to add something a little flirty in the mix, who am I kidding most of these pieces comprise of seduction. This floral jumpsuit captures the frill at the bottom of the shorts. It's simplistic yet classic for a night out or even a winery tour.

Stone Cold Fox - Love Jumper $275
Last year I saw this print in Sheike but couldn't owe up to it so I justified $90 for the skirt and waited until it went on sale. My luck, it never did and I sure regretted it until now. To find this blazer in a slightly different orange but exact print and cut is like asking for a cheeseburger but getting a bigmac, WIN WIN. Fraction of the price, I won't say no.

Missguided - Georgina Neon Flower Blazer $57

Need something for this fresh weather, but need a little lift? This peplum style dress is great for functions as it's practical yet showing your best asset. It demonstrates soft textured finish and high executive neckline, curved skirt hems and smooth paneled insert on inner sleeves. All you need is a funky metallic belt and your hotter than Kim Kardashian would be even if she has no ass.

Sheike - Fallen Angel Dress $149

There is something sexy about capped sleeves. Don't mistake cut outs that are cheap looking, I mean the structured cut outs that wrap around the arm. I need this in my wardrobe to add to a basic outfit choice.

Sabo Skirt - Lace-up Crop $48

It's always hard to find dresses for last minute functions and realise your on the tuna buys this week. This dress is perfect for that occasion and you will look more expensive than that girl that shopped at GASP.

Stelly - Blueberry Waffle Dress $45.95
Don't have the dosh to buy the real thang? Not to worry this dress looks exactly like the Sass & Bide Laugh out Loud skirt, all you need is a black belt and your laughing your way to a cocktail on him!

Stelly - Cream Cheese Candy Dress $45

One last look from this online store because you need to see it for yourself. This peplum structured dress can be dressed up with a belt or left like this for the office. I even love the hem split.

Stelly - Ginger Bramble Dress $49.95
As we near the end, the introduction or so I should obsession with fur should kick in. i just purchased a faux fur shaggy jacket and cannot wait to Rachael Zoe it up. What's wrong with a little body and something that will keep you warm, Furtastic!

The Fashion Bunker - Finder Keepers Faux Fur Jacket $49.95

Who doesn't love a little cheeky fur. This crop jumper is a little cute and funky for this winter. Tee it up with jeans and boots and your Melbourne appropriate.

The Grand Social - Wonders Cease Crop to it - $225

Missing something to your outfit? Complete it with a faux fur scarf. This will add volume to our outfit and create sophistication. I walked into Sussan's for a Mother's Day gift and came out with a scarf for myself. Don't be fooled by the perception you once had for this brand, they have revamped their brand and it is trendy and more fashion conscious.

Sussan - Fur loop scarf  $49.95

Give me Gucci

As most women my age are working towards a house, a holiday and all those grown up responsibilities (yawn) there are other (let's not point) who are saving up for that Classic Chanel 2.55 Bag. Realistically who can just fork out $10 000 (and that's minimum) for a Hermes bag? Yes I know there are rare blahblah but that can get you a trip to Europe where you can indulge in luxury all you like.

Fortunately for me and some of you out there who can work towards a new purchase can enjoy it while not forking out a loan due to online flash sales.

The obvious con about online purchases of designer labels is not being able to touch, feel and instantly falling in love (okay maybe that's a good thing so you limit yourself to only one product)
and of course not being able to walk down Collins St with that big bag keeping past goers guessing what's in there.

Take away the service (if they even serve a 23 year old woman), the ambiance, the image and the physicality you get the same item for far less cheaper. Yes I'll give that up any day.

You need to make sure the website is legit and it's 100% authentic. Do your research and look up reviews before you think of taking your credit card out. The downside to these flash sales is you need to be readily available because if you snooze you loose. These sales are daily with different designers everyday so I advise your email and you become best friends.

I have come across ones that I love and kind of scared to share it with you because I want my discounted goodies!!

Reebonz

Reebonz is an online destination where members discover designer brands through flash sale events, each open for just a brief window of time.

You can only view sales if you are a member. Membership is free and you will receive emails about current and upcoming sales so you can clear your calendar for a few hours. Members can help expand the community by inviting their friends — earning Reebonz Credits when each new friend places their first order.

The flash sale can last two to three days. Designers that often feature on Reebonz are Miu Miu, Burberry, Todd's, Coach, Gucci, Chanel. The great marketing tool Reebonz have is they do a lot of one off sales for example Fifty products for 50% off, Never be repeated discounts, One Riced Wonders, further 10% off today only. They give you no excuses to look elsewhere.

Shipping is only $10 in Australia and takes about 7 - 10 days which is fast and reliable. You won't have to worry about your product getting damaged because it is secured in a box.

I will definitely shop with them again!!

MYNETSALE

MYNETSALE presents the most covetable names in fashion within your grasp by a team of talented Paris based stylists/buyers that source from all over continental Europe through strategic partners relationships. Get fixated on Burberry mmmm. Again you need to sign up at no charge in order to receive updates on current sales and to purchase.

The great idea about MYNETSALE is everyday there are sales, even weekend. So even if you work 5 days a week and miss out, dedicate your Saturday morning reading your emails before the Herald Sun because the news will still be the there when your done where your Burberry trench coat won't be.

The sale lasts for 3 days. The con about MYNETSALE is delivery expectancy is approximately 4 weeks so don't buy anything that you need asap. The shipping is $9.90 within Australia.

Belle & Clive

From the successful retailer Bluefly, Bluefly presents to you the flash sale Belle & Clive. Usually the sale starts at 11.30am (ET time) daily which is ahead of their competitors which generally start at Noon (start marketing tool. The great competitive advantage Belle & Clive have over other fashion discounted site is it broadens their market to not only luxurious lovers but practicality. For those who love purchasing home items you can get amazing items here that are innovative and not common. I unfortunately have not been lucky to purchase anything from Belle & Clive however I am more inclined to purchase from the home section when I decide to save for the more important details in my life like a house perhaps?!

I love that the shipping is free, definitely lures me even more.

MYHABIT

MYHABIT was created by Amazon.com in response to customers' desires to shop intelligently from a selection of designer and boutique brands. Only recently it has opened it's doors and been made more credible in my books by shipping down under (at a cost of $15).

As luxury buying needs a service this site offers that unique destination within the private sale space. They because they amalgamate the most innovative technology in the online retail space with a serious focus on style. Interactive 360-video technology, showcases the actual fit and drape of the clothing on live models. It's like you are there!!!!

Brands include Prada, Chloe, Oscar De La Renta, Fendi, Emporio Armani

Shipping takes approximately 5 - 12 days which is reasonable. This site again offer private sales when you sign up. You also get $20 credit points when you refer a friend.

This site is great if you are looking for the whole family, home included.

Modnique

This flash sale site offers pieces for the whole family with discounts up to 80% off! They stock a mixture of labels from big name designers like Balenciaga to smaller, everyday brands including Polo. If you're looking to do a little shopping for you and your loved ones and want to save big bucks on it, welcome to your new shopping mall. forget David Jones and Myer this is your department store. If you have a spare couple of years then sink into this website. Here you will find apparel, jewellery, accessories, home goods and other premium, quality, brand name products. Some of the big Brands include LV, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Tom Ford.

Modnique offers its members exclusive access to boutique sale events of authentic, brand new and hand-picked designer merchandise. Members save 50-85% or even more. I have researched and have mixed feelings about the site as some customers are saying it's not authentic. Their promise is if you are not satisfied then you will receive your money back guaranteed.

Although the shipping is generous (at $5) the delivery is not acceptable. I have waited more than 4 weeks for an item to come and it still has not been delivered. To my dismay it didn't state it would take this long as I needed it for a present. Instead it posted it would be delivered at a date before I purchased it (What the )With a little panic as it was the first time I had purchased with this site, I was lucky enough to find there was a tracking number and found out 3 weeks later it was getting shipped from America. In future I will only buy from them if I am in no rush for it and properly by then I will forget all about it  :(

It's ironic how I always got a lesson on saving but here I am giving advice to others who share the same infatuation to not pay big bucks in store when you get everything you need online without a lighter wallet.

Enjoy and if you come across any great discounted website please email me, I don't want to miss out!!

Monday Mixes

This week I have been ambushed with a cold again, yes two colds in one month is not normal and plain annoying. Despite this horrible weather I refuse to rug up on nights on the town as no outfit looks amazing with a coat, right? Ok so maybe that's that explains the frequency of sickness. If looking good comes at a ugly price, then vicks me up!!

I am so excited to share with you my outfit choices this week and (probably also confessing I need a second job so any takers would be greatly appreciated).
I thought it would be rude not to start with a bang. This dress and me need to date asap! Everything about it is making me drool. the detailing of the black trimming to the mesh paneling through the centre and back of the dress. So futuristic yeww.
If this hasn't lured you already try looking at the rest of their collection 'Field of Dreams' . It's definitely something worth staying up for tonight.

The Birdcage Boutique - Finders Keepers By The Way Dress $179.95
I could dedicate this whole post to Finders Keepers new collection, but I think it won't do justice. You need to check it out yourself!!!!!

However I do want to include this flower detailed top because I have never seen anything like this in the Australian market. This sleeveless top has a sheer back and front panels tucked in a curved hem. This will look amazing with your leatherette skirt and pants or even jeans for a more kickback approach.

The Fashion Bunker - Finders Keepers Runaway Top $99.95

Need a jumper with a splash of colour to go with printed pants? I have hunted some great knits that are stylish and funk up your outfit. This crochet crop top is perfect for a cool day.

Chiara - Pink Neon Knit Crop Jumper - ~$30.00
If you can't bare the thought of going all 'physical' like then opt for a full length jumper. Jumpers like these are great for layers, so chuck a shirt underneath and let the hem hang through.

In Love With Fashion - Love Fluorescent Pink Plain Box Knit Jumper $22.62

I know I wrote up about the asymmetrical skirts on my previous posts. However, I have just come across this cheaper version in case you are smarter than me and waited (damn impatient characteristic I have inherited)

Inlovewithfashion - LOVE Black Asymmetrical Drape Skirt $42.22

You know me by now to love lace and low plunge lines so imagine when the two are infused, it's like dipping marshmallows and chocolate together. I can't go past great lace detailing and at the price it would crazy to pass this by.

Little Lace - Winona Lace Playsuit $129

When you started to think Leatherette couldn't get any bigger, well think again. This skirt not only looks amazing in white but combining it with a asymmetrical design, (who wants a second job now?!)
Sovereign Boutique - Rock in Leather Skirt - Nude $69

Leopard. Do I dare say anymore?
Picture says it all.

Shakuhachi - Leopard Skirt $360
Need a colour to brighten your day? These silk like pants will be great to tee up with a sheer blouse or a sharp blazer for the office or a great day out.

Asos - Pants with Elastic Cuff $39
Finally the finale of the week. This is for something special, like seeing an enemy and knowing she could never pull this number off.

It's a stand out piece for one reason, because you can! So let the stares be worth their while.

Winona - Black Lace Maxi Dress $189.95
