Monday Mixes

This is the last week of the chills, of the flus and fighting the ice formulated on my car windows. Be happy, go shopping and update your wardrobe. Invest your money on the coming trends. Tax money now please!!!

I'm starting with a bang. I don't know what everyone was doing Friday night, but I was casually on my instagram catching up on the news in the world, obviously not fanatic enough to realise this dress was such a hit. I missed out on the pre-order from Esther boutique but I will not give up. I am determined to find out what other stockists will be fortunate enough to get their hands on this baby. If you know please hit a sister up, if not I'll inform you I'm sure.

Esther Boutique - Finders Keepers nightlight bodice dress $129.95
Now for showing some leg season. Yes September is upon us which means kick off those boots and chuck on those wedges and embrace the sunshine. Pair these with a black top.
Lucy In the Sky - You're My Paradise Shorts $39

The back of this top sold me.
ASOS - Cami with Embellished Dome $50

This cropped top with pleat and slit back detail will definitely be left to flatter. Perfect with jeans.
Love Fox - Oskar Here And Now Top $19
I do enjoy a baroquean embroidery especially when it suits the structure of the garment.
Love Fox - The Shanti Butterfly Baroquean Jewel Blouse $89

A Pant that distracts your hips and bum, yes please. A Relaxed fit will fixate this problem and make you feel amazing.
Sheike - Mind Games Pant $109

I warmed up to the strappy boot after Alex Perry collaborated with Tony Bianco. I indulged in a pale pink pair, giddy up Summer.
Tony Bianco - Kailen Tan Monaco $189.95
Another post on checks. Embrace them, befriend them, show them off. It's a great print for the next month.
Asos - Ponte Pencil Skirt In Check $58

This jumpsuit is effortless chic. The simplistic of this jumpsuit is great for any occasion. Wear a banging belt and some nice strappy shoes and that's a great spring outfit. Oh did I mention the split back, ohhh yes?!
Asos - Jumpsuit with Chic Racer Detail $81

Mint and "wetsuit " Neoprene material, the perfect combination. I love a textured short and teamed up with a white sheer top, how appropriate for the warmer days!!
Hello Parry - Lucille Wetsuit Neoprene Shorts $65

Monday Mixes

Just when I thought I had enough peplum garments to outbid Kim Kardashian, I sourced online and fell in love all over again. Not only is peplum resurging the market but glomesh is making a come back. Why did Mum throw out her goods, vintage is huge and definitely cheaper!

This structured peplum top is definitely a piece needed for Spring/Summer. Just pair with skinny leather pants and let the top do the talking.

Premonition Designs - Aphrodite Peplum Top $119.95
This is a relaxed peplum detail top with the peplum waist being sheer but don't worry you won't see any skin because you will tee this up with white skinny jeans or high waisted shorts. Even the colour oozes warmth.
May The Label - May Ambassador Top $89

I'm usually not seen in maxi skirts but if they are beautiful prints, it is hard to resist. This skirt by Witchery emphasises femininity with a sexy split on the side.

Witchery - Single Split Maxi Skirt $99.95
A cute dress for the warmer days. Style it with ankle boots or gladiator sandals.
Nasty Gal - Sunflower Lace Dress $148
Get comfy in an oversized black tee featuring a boat neckline with cutout shoulders. Lay over jeans and this is a great lazy Sunday look.
Nasty Gal - Cheap Monday Dark Days Cutout Tee $43
You  just don't know what season you will get in a day of Melbourne. It's best to be prepared all year round with this lightweight anorak.
Nasty Gal - Sweet Moss Anorak $94

Why not channel your "Nichole Ritche" bohemian inner self with this square-cut kimono style featuring two contrasting black and ivory check prints.

Lulus - The Peacenik Black and Ivory Print Kimono Jacket $41

Yes Sheike opened in Melbourne and Yes I did check it out and Yes I did make a purchase. One of those purchases included this stunning crepe finish long sleeve peplum top with a plunging V back, finished with a gold chain detail.

Another open back number. Wear this with a cameo and jeans. Catch on to the lace trend.
Last Backless post I swear. Bec & Bridge had a quiet collection last season but they found their inspiration and they are back on top. The Ikebana print is stimulating, captivating a high, halter-style neckline. Summer  hurry up!!

Bec & Bridge - Ikebana Dress $160

Bust A Move

When Nichole Ritchie's infamous Alexander Wang photo circulated the social world, it was apparent bustiers don't have to necessarily be tarty and that is when I entered the world of Bustier. Don't mistake a bustier for just a crop, a bustier is a garment that is fitted to give you shape and lift your bust. If you dare, wear the crop but style it with a high waist bottom. This will still create chic.

The Birdcage Boutique - Cameo Refelction Bustier $159.95
Nasty Gal - Plunging Peplum Bustier $45

Bardot - Leather Look Bralett $49.95
Asos - Aqua Langford Cupped Bustier Bodysuit $113

Sass & Bide - Days Of Night $150
Sheike - Billionaire Top $89.95
Nasty Gal - Erotica Lace Bustier $40

Life is a rainbow

Although my outfit would be deemed inappropriate for winter, I never do things by the books either. I jumped on the opportunity that I am currently sporting a healthy glow ( that is fading ever so fast), therefore adding colour to my body was a given! I am holding on to Mossman for dear life because I am still uncertain as many of their loyal customers are too on what is exactly happening to the brand. Are they Mossman Platinum, are they only stocked in QV and Chapel St? Until I get answers, I will just believe they are still producing great garments.

My crop top was definitely a little risky but I made sure no belly button was exposed. A high waisted skirt was the best option to avoid any trash talk (if that really can). The back was the highlight of the top with of course no back!!!!!

If you asked me to wear this outfit a year ago, I would have laughed. I have learnt to work with the appealing body parts and leave the unwanted hidden.

Both Top and Skirt from Mossman

Monday Mixes

Who was fortunate enough to participate in the grooling saga over Jen Hawkin's body at the Myer Summer 2013/14 show in Sydney? I grasped only the fashion as I am not a huge fan of the supermodel but yes, I did put down my cheeseburger once I saw her in what they called, 'bathers'. Yeojin Bae's new collection 'YB J'aime' was one of the stand outs of the show. I am lucky enough to own one of her dresses and I'm aching for that sensation again. Definitely something to save for this summer!!!

Don't be afraid to wear sheer. If you are worried about too much skin then add a cameo or if you are comfortable and under the age of 35 then just bra it ;) ;)

Pretty Little Thing - Bibi White Sheer Peplum Top $35
Another sheer garment but this covers a lot more of your body. Embrace the sheer trend this coming season.
Pretty Little Thing - Carena Yellow Sheer Panel Top

I like that Sass & Bide are not just offering $180 for a cotton top. This vest boasts a 100% merino wool composition, and features a monochromatic, woven cable-knit construction. How alluring is the low sleeve cut?! Yummy.
The Iconic - Sass & Bide De La Croix $220
As the sun peaks through, get comfortable in colour. Why not tee up neon pants with a white t-shirt and wedges for a relaxed look.
Lucy in the sky - Any Timer Pant $42

Get crazy for kaleidoscope print this season. This can still be worn with tights for the cooler days and ankle boots.
Missguided - Valentina Kaleidoscope Print Midi Skirt $27

Front split, need I say more?!!

Missguided - Herrisa Value Front Split Midi Dress In Light Grey $13

Add some sophistication to your layers this season. Colour block, get on board!
Missguided - Omana Contrast Zipped Jacket $82
Explore jackets in summer that can be worn 2 ways. This jacket features a detachable bottom layer for a crop look. I's like getting 2 jackets for the price of 1! Smart shopping I say!!
Missguided - Irne Leather Sleeve Multi Jacket In Black $124
I can't compliment Cameo enough, season to season they simultaneously perfect structure and femineity. This skirt is no exception with a curved hem and double peplum all fitted on the waist.

The Birdcage Boutique - Cameo 'Inside Your Heart' Skirt $59

Cannot get enough of leather/leatherette jeans and how appealing your legs look in them. If Kim Kardashian can do it, then why cant you?!
Runway Scout - Premonition "Dark Of The Moon Jeans" $109
